IT Business / Process Analyst (Aerospace) to £45,000

Our client, based in the UK and US is an advanced manufacturing / engineering business situated just off the M1 / Loughborough. They are expanding rapidly, investing in technology innovation and expect to implement a new large and complex ERP / Manufacturing software platform in the next 12 months.  

As part of this exciting and challenging project they require a Business Analyst who will work across all functions of the operation to map business / operational / manufacturing process from an IT process perspective. These process maps and process designs, will be used to build and configure the current IT ERP system before it is migrated over to a new system.

Seriously exciting and challenging here are some of the things you’ll be doing in this role.

  • To work within the business to understand and define business Process

  • To drive change through the analysis, design, implementation and management of our business fundamentals, aligning all functional areas  

  • To independently assess the impact of process changes on people, systems, operations, management and SMG.

  • To present new business processes and capabilities that will ensure performance improvement and best practice

  • Liaise with key business areas across the group to define and understand SOPs and to document/created/updated processes.  

  • Document and maintain all Operational process flows and mandates for key client(s) – current and future state.  

  • Drive and participate in design, development and implementation of process alongside the assessment of existing process, and identify areas for improvement.  

  • Lead process (re)design and expedite team discussions and workshops to drive process solutions design, as well as recommend process metrics and controls.  

  • Engage with diverse teams across Multiple Functional areas.  

  • Perform detailed process and gap analysis, applying appropriate problem solving and improvement tools such as those associated with Lean and Six Sigma.  

  • Set Kpi metrics to ensure visibility showing that working in line with the business requirements.  

  • Ensure all process mandates are produced, updated and maintained in line with operational requirements.

  • Create a library of all operational processes and mandates  

  • Ensure tight governance over mandate changes with a clear audit trail for ISO9001; ensure updates to mandate

  • Work with the relevant systems team to translate business process into a defined system process within the MRP/ERP system.

Ideally an IT graduate, we are looking for someone who would love to work in challenging IT BA role within a small team in a fast moving, highly innovative advanced manufacturing business, lean, clean and agile.  To apply you will need at least 24 months in a Business Analysis role.

We are not looking for previous experience of working in engineering/manufacturing although anyone with this background would be of great interest.  Any experience of process mapping along with an exposure to Lean / Six Sigma / Agile methodologies would also be fantastic, although it is expected that you will gain a great deal of knowledge in these areas.

Any experience of process re-engineering, data flow diagrams, writing business requirement documents would be advantageous.

Position is commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Leicester - comes with excellent salary and benefits.
