Situated just off the M1 our Client is a very successful technology solutions provider. Working with small / medium enterprise customers, they have many long standing service contracts with organisations across the UK and pride themselves on their technical and service delivery capabilities. 

With a new phase of growth planned and an imminent relocation to a new high tech office location between Loughborough and Nottingham, this organisation has exciting expansion plans. As part of this growth they are looking for an IT Support Engineer to undertake the following: 

  • Provide Service Technical Support -  Diagnosing technical problems, resolve or escalate problems. From simple issues to highly complex incidents there is a lot to challenge and interest! 

  • Infrastructure deployments - Hardware, server roll out and system implementation. Varied technology covering connectivity, server and desktop technologies

  • Onsite Support - Travelling to client sites across the UK resolving technical issues

  • Advice and consultancy - offering clients advice on IT best practice

This is a highly diverse and broad role and requires an IT professional who is comfortable and happy working with varied technology,  within a customer facing environment.

This role is ideally suited to an IT support engineer that no longer wants to be tied to a desk / service desk working shifts and  keen to find the perfect mix of field and internal support and a more flexible working environment! Our client will invest in your development with training and the role also comes with a company car. The Company has a relaxed but hard working culture that is supportive, flexible fun and professional. 

Interested? We are looking for IT skills in the following:

Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016 - with knowledge of Active Directory, DCHP, GPO, DNS, WSUS. Desktop Applications - Windows 8/10, MS Office / Office 365 and ideally some experience of Exchange. Any experience of Server Administration, Users, Groups, Mailbox and Policy management would be beneficial but not essential. 

We are also looking for IT professionals who are highly customer / service focused. Anyone working for another IT services business, perhaps in an ITIL environment would be of additional interest.
