Working with the CIO and senior stakeholders you will embark on an incredible journey as you take the lead role in implementing Agile / Scrum within this large internationally recognised enterprise. With a large technology function that has a formal PMO using Waterfall, the organisation is undergoing incredible change, both in terms of digital transformation but also in the way that they deliver projects.
It’s a perfect storm, largest technology projects in their history and a change in Project Management methodologies, practices and culture! Probably going to be the biggest challenge of your professional career!
This role will involve implementing Agile, coaching and mentoring all technical functions, teams, managers and stakeholders with Project Management, Software Development and Infrastructure. You’ll work with those keen to change and those who may be less engaged in the process. You will be evangelical in your approach, driving change, influencing and teasing out issues and clearing bottle necks.
It’s going to take time, it a big place, the IT teams are established, the methodologies embedded but it’s going to be incredible when you reflect on the transformation that you have been responsible for, for certain a career-defining role!
The ideal candidate will have bottle, a lot of it, together with the experience of influencing, coaching and mentoring. More broadly experience implementing agile methodologies and mindsets. Given the highly technical nature of the projects, specifically, software development focused we're looking for someone who has a background in Software Development, either someone who has come through the route of Developer to Dev Manager to Scrum Master or a Technical Project Manager into Scrum Master.
